I feel that the current market situation can be a good opportunity in acquiring a home.  Inventory is high and the choices are varied.  Many sellers are offering some very attractive incentives.  Recently, Floridians voted to increase the homestead exemption which will decrease your property taxes.  All this coupled with low fixed interest rates make this a time to evaluate all the choices currently available.

When purchasing a home, I highly recommend a home inspection.  This will help you in determing the true condition of the home you are wishing to purchase.  Their are many good home inpspectors in our area.  Look for one that gives you a detailed written report with supporting photos.  Additionally, if any descrepencies are found and corrected, the inspector should be willing to re-inspect at no additional charge.
